What a year of 2020! While we are still deep in the woods of the pandemic, we start to see some light at the end of the tunnel as effective vaccines are on the way. On March this year, we had a very successful fundraiser for helping our doctors and nurses as there were lacking of protective gears. After we raised money, Jing Ma has spent a lot of time and energy sourcing more than $16000 of PPEs and donated to our local hospitals and neighbors who were in need. Our Almaden Chinese Community has also come together and donated many PPEs and we managed to deliver them to our vulnerable neighbors.
As year 2020 comes to an end, we want to once again say thank you to all our supporters and donors. You can find a list of our donors here. We wish you all have a great holiday break and stay safe!
Attached here is the expense report for the money we raised. After reconciling all the spending, we still have about $915 left from the fundraiser. We have used about $300 of that money for the 2020 Virtual 5K kids fun run. The rest ($615) will be transferred to our accounting volunteer to add to our current Chinese New Year event fund.
